Update on my issues lol... kinda long

So, Nick and I got preapproved for a house loan... well, before we got preapproved together, when we were apart, I went and got preapproved myself because with or without him I was going to buy a house anyways... well, with the both of us together through this specific bank, they are only preapproving us for $30,000 more than what I was preapproved for singally... which was quite a large amount... this 30k is not even 1/6th of what they offered me myself, and being that nick has better credit than me, and gets paid about the same wages I do, it doesnt make any sense! I called my credit union and we are going to do another preappoval through them today to see where we compare... does anyone know if preapprovals hurt your credit history?
Also, I had strep last week... well I am so much better but my left ear is completely plugged up, I can hardly hear out of it! I have had chronic ear infections in the past and the dr thinks I had one that cleared but now I have what they call an effusion ( water) behind the eardrum, and I know in the past I had to have tubes put in to remove it.. she doesnt really know my ear problem history because shes only been my dr for about 2 years but I told her that I doubt its going to clear up on its own, so she ended up making me an appt with the ent specialist in 2 weeks... :/ I have to go 2 more weeks deaf in my ear and dizzy because its plugged !
Sigh.... on a positive note, Nicks foot is feeling better ( he fractured a bone in it jogging last week)... because of my problems, I treated myself to some new AG items this week! A few too many but oh well! I am also selling non ag items to help pay for the new things and also just sold my WB sam!
I ended up getting Emily, her winter outfit, JLY #27 and the holiday outfit.. EEK! I forgot to mention the PM AGOT #2 I won on ebay last nite, and also my fixer upper Kirsten WB! I'll be one busy gal with that one! HAHA!

Congratulations on being able to buy a house.
I don't think it will hurt your credit, but it might be put on your credit report. (wouldnt hurt to have a copy of that [img]biggrin.gif[/img] )
It will be years before DH and I can buy a house, once again Congrats.

To my knowledge, checks on your credit only affect you if there are a lot there, it's in a short amount of time, adn you don't get approved for anything withn 3 days.

Sometimes taking an antihistamine will open up your Eustachian tube, so that the fluid in your middle ear can drain into the back of your throat, as it normally does. The swelling of your strep throat probably made it swell shut.

You can also help it all heal faster by taking 500 mg of Vitamin C with each meal (and be sure to eat a healthy breakfast), and 2 full-sized carrots with each meal (or the equivalent in baby carrots--maybe 16?), and a multivitamin with either breakfast or lunch each day.

Don't take the vitamins and the antihistamine at the same time, though. [img]wink.gif[/img]

And don't mix any of this with any other medications without checking with a nurse or doctor first. [img]wink.gif[/img]

HEy Joy! I guess im in the clear then because I am a nurse! HEHE! [img]smile.gif[/img] Ill try what you suggested.. being that my ears are so bad, Im prone to ear infections and fluid.... I usually have to go to the ENT to have it drained or to have tubes put in.. sigh Ive had them 3 times and believe me, dont be awake when they put them in! Its sooo painful!
Anyhow, wish me luck! Nick and I went to look at a house today " just drove by' and its sooo cute! I hope its still for sale and that we have a CHANCE ! [img]smile.gif[/img] Ill keep you all updated! Whenever anyone runs your credit score (which obviously they do when you ask for a loan), it can ding your credit a tiny bit. However, it's just a tiny amount, and if you get a lot of runs of your credit score in a certain window of time (I'm not sure what that window is, but defintely 5 days or more), it SHOULD just be one small ding, not a ton of small dings. The formulas in the bureaus understand that if you get a lot of inquiries about your credit in a short period of time, you might be in the process of making a new purchase, like a car, and so they don't assume that you're trying to open 10 new credit cards. (I KNOW it doesn't hurt you to get it run multiple times when you're car-shopping, and I'm pretty sure it's the same when you're house-shopping.)

So yes, by all means, try to get yourself the lowest rate possible! [img]smile.gif[/img]
